Making a left turn at about 15 to 20 mph when other car trying beat the light doing about 50 mph resulting me hitting him broadside. The air bags deployed properly but the seat belt failed. The seat belt ripped out of floor of the car including the bolt that is supposed to hold it in place. As aresulr I was injured with a fractured sternum and rib.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Civic. The contact stated that the rear driver's and front passenger seat belts were severed. The vehicle was taken to superior Honda of omaha (402-408-1000, located at 4111 S 144th St, omaha, ne 68137) where it was determined that the failure was caused by the harness the contact installed to stabilize the child safety seat. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stood by the dealer's observation. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 13,500. The VIN was unknown.
