Air conditioner blowing hot air. Took it to independent repair shop. They don’t have equipment to evaluate type with newer 1234yf refrigerant. Took it to another independent repair shop. They had to use a $280 can of tester refrigerant plus labor for total of $480 just to evaluate. They told me Honda may cover repair with an extended warranty due to multiple failures. Unfortunately they had determined the leaks were in the evaporator, not the condenser so the warranty doesn’t cover. This repair shop said it will require removing the dash so labor alone is $1200. Haven’t decided what to do yet. Don’t understand why only condenser leaks are covered. It’ going to get real hot in Texas soon.
