My AC stopped working a couple of months before the month of August. We don't drive this Honda much that is why it only has 11k miles. Took it to the dealership and they told me that the ac compressor was bad and that we needed to pay $3300 to get it fixed! The guy at the dealership gave me the run around, even though they were knowing the problem Honda is having with this issue. They kept the car in the shop for two days telling me that he would talk to upper management to see if they would cover it under what he called it the "assistance program", which was odd.
He called me the next day to tell me that they would not be able to give me the assistance and that we would have to pay the full price. I am so angry with Honda, we bought the car because they are known to last forever if you do all the maintenance - which we have! They better fix this issue because we will never buy another Honda again!!!
No AC in car for past year - 12,500 miles. Took Civic into Honda Dealership to replace condenser after getting recall mail. Now Honda tricks me just like everyone else, says condenser works just fine but i'm now stuck with $380 diagnostic fee and $1800 compressor repair out of pocket. Thanks a lot!
