Practically from day one (1), I have been complaining about the transmission on this vehicle. The service writer at Weir Canyon Honda even said I was not the first to complain about the way the transmission DOES NOT RESPOND. If you have to suddenly apply the brakes, then try to accelerate again, the car does not respond. It acts like it wants you to come to a complete stop, then wait a second or two, before it accelerates! Not only is this a pain in the ass, it could be very dangerous. I've had the car stopped at a traffic signal with the car in park, when the light turned green, I put in drive, tried to accelerate and the car literally does Nothing, for at least 2 full seconds, with people honking behind me! If I have to slam on the brakes, then try to maneuver around something to avoid an accident, I would be rear-ended at the least. I recently accidentally knocked the car in to neutral while on the freeway. I immediately put the car into drive, accelerated and the car continued to lose speed before it kicked into gear so to speak. The car now feels like the engine is having to rev to higher RPM's to propel the car forward. There is also a strange burning smell. I have taken the car to the dealership twice recently, however they claim the car is functioning normally. I have had the car for two (2) years, and have driven almost 29K miles, I know how the car should and shouldn't function. They once gave me a loaner car without a CVT Transmission, what a difference!!!! When you put the car in drive, it should go forward!!! Pretty sad when you buy a brand new car, and end up HATING it!
