The contact owns a 2017 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving at slow speeds through a parking area, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power, after which the vehicle failed to restart. The contact stated that the warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and diagnosed with fuel pump failure. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 95,000.
