Car trunk opens while driving (more than a dozen times to date); windows descend while locking car from outside; gas cap cover unlatches while locking car. Car doors have also unlocked while vehicle was parked, and thieves ransacked car on 2 occasions. I raised issues to dealer (who said they were impossible) and wrote manufacturer April 22; have received no response. Rust on tire rims. The electrical issues have been recurring since five months after I purchased the car to the present day.

There is a rotten smell in the rear trunk every time when/after it rains. From my observations, the odor is coming from the spare tire well, not the trunk liner. The odor can be removed by spraying odor remover and have it ventilated. However, the next time when it rains, this odor comes back again. I am afraid that this repeated issue indicates water clogged somewhere beneath the spare time well.

At about 10000 miles I noticed ripples in my rear roof pillars. Honda acknowledges that it is a manufacturing error and fixed it with body fill. I am worried if the roof will flex a dent like that under load that it may not be structurally sound.

The vehicle was running and in park, unoccupied. Vehicle rolled away despite transmission being in park position and struck a garage door. Owner states he confirmed vehicle was in park when he came to the vehicle in its final resting position. For one day prior to this occurance, a brake error message had come on and off in the vehicle. It was a weekend, so the owner did not notify a service provider but was intending to schedule service on the Monday following. A claim has been filed with his auto insurance provider, erie insurance, to repair the body damage. Underlying issue needs investigation as there is not a recall for this specific VIN, but a recall has been issued for a known problem for other makes/models.

I have an 8 month old 2017 Honda Civic ex-T and my complaint is with the quality of the glass used for the windshield. Currently, I have several chips and gashes in it. This is just city driving as well. I have seen many other posts online of other owners experiencing the same issue as well as the windshield easily cracking. Heck, I was reading a review on the car from a very prominent company and the windshield cracked during the review. Anyways, it seems like the quality or maybe the design is very much an issue. I have never owned an automobile whose glass was susceptible to damage.

When pulling into a parking spot I put the car into park but the car kept moving forward, over a sidewalk and into a building. I put the car in reverse and could not stop the car until it hit another object. Had damage to the front bumper and grill.

I took my car in due to the recall letter I received at my residence addressed to me id# 14-034 stating cloud paint on roof and trunk and an extension was given. I remember it was a Tuesday I took in because they specifically told me on the phone that is when pictures could be taken at the dealer and then sent in for approvals. I had some other things done on my car and there is record of it. However they said my VIN number did not match the recall and took the paperwork that was addressed to me and said they would not take any photos of the car. At that time the clouding on my car was minimal however now a few year out it looks like acid spilled on my car. It's also interesting to see several other same model cars out on the road with the same issues. I did file a claim with the dealership then later told I would have to go through the dealer for any approvals since its way past the deadline. I did and was told I had to meet with a specfic person named casey and made another visit and was told they cannot do anything about it. So long story short been going back and forth and feel they are doing some shady business. So frustrated that I refused to buy my new car with Honda and decided to buy a Nissan rogue. I still own my Civic but now I am deterred to ever buy another Honda again. I feel I was taken advantage of when I went in during the time frame and I was there with my one year old daughter.
