- Today, February 26, 2016, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is announcing a product update for 29,146 model year 2016 Civic vehicles shipped with incorrect impact speed for bumper information on the Monroney labels. The vehicles are in compliance; the Monroney label information is not. Basic Problem 2016 model year Civic vehicles produced before January 12, 2016 have incorrect information related to the bumper compliance test. The label is printed with a speed of 5 mph and should be written with correct speed of 2.5 mph. In error, the 2015 Civic bumper impact speed rating was used for the 2016 Civic Monroney label.
