This happened Friday Oct. 9, 2020 - I had to have a tow truck come pick the car up. I was stranded off the freeway 8 miles away from the Rusty Wallace Dealership - which is where I bought the car from new. I'm still making payment. I tried to make it to safety off freeway - there was nowhere on freeway I could be safe. The tow driver informed me the car had loss a lot of oil - it was under the car when he moved it to his tow truck. Once at the dealership it turned out that it was not oil, but the transmission fluid that leaked out.
The dealership could not say why the transmission solenoid came loose, they thought it was very odd, but could not explain why this would happen to a 2016 Honda Civic. In any case they tightened the solenoid to specifics, filled it up with the transmission fluid and said it was fixed. However I had to take my car back to the dealership on Monday Oct. 12, 2020 because the motor shield under the car came off (I guess they did not secure it correctly when they did the work on the transmission issue).
NOW I will be writing another complaint because I will have to take my car back to the dealership again sometime this week - looks like the starter on the 2016 Honda Civic may be going out or has gone out. It will not turn on when I try to turn it on with the key, it just clicks. I'll add the complaint if it turns out to be the starter. My car is just a 2016 - and really the starter is going out already. Not good!!!
