i STARTED NOTICING SOMETHING IN THE STEERING LIKE IT WAS PULLING TO THE LEFT AND FELT WEIRD WHEN i CORRECTED IT. i THOUGHT I HAD A LOW TIRE PRESSURE. ADDED AIR - NO CHANGE. i DROVE IT SEVERAL MILES A COUPLE DAYS AGO AND IT WAS VERY NOTICEABLE. IT WOULD GO TO THE LEFT A LITTLE AND STICK AND I WOULD HAVE TO PULL IT TO THE RIGHT AND IT WAS VERY JERKY FOR THE WHOLE TRIP. VERY ANNOYING.

i GOOGLED IT AND THOUGHT IT MIGHT NEED POWER STEERING FLUID ONLY TO FIND OUT IT HAS ELECTRIC STEERING. GOOGLED AGAIN AND I FIND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME THING!! WHY IS THIS NOT A RECALL. ONE FORUM SAID IT WAS A MOTOR THAT COSTS $1,500 TO GET FIXED. ANOTHER SAID THEY CHANGED THAT AND IT DIDN'T FIX IT. IT WAS THE WHOLE RACK?? DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE HONDA ADDRESSES THIS???

Civic EX 1.5L 4v

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,000 miles

The problem with the steering is most noticeable at higher speeds driving straight. I travel on the interstate from Foley, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama and back. It's a 3 hour drive and it feels like an 8 hour drive, fighting to keep the car on the road and in my lane. It's very scary. Apparently, this complaint has been going on since 2016 and Honda has done nothing. They should do a recall and fix it.

Civic LX 2.0L

  • Manual transmission
  • 70,600 miles

Driving on I-10 at 75 mph(car had been running for about 20 minutes),my steering effort/inputs went from smooth (normal) to "sticky". The normally smooth steering had become somewhat resistive to inputs. This occured on 7-30-2020.
