Because there is no cap for the gas tank, during a powerful carwash I got a little water in the tank. The fuel door will come undone and get sprayed when the car automatically unlocks. I have to be careful to make sure the car stays locked before I go into the automatic car wash or it’ll happen again.
going into the car wash, after rolling up windows, sunroof, do not forget to lock you car from inside, otherwise, the pressure wash can pop up the fuel intake door and you can get some water and cleaning solution inside the fuel tank ...
- if it happens - horn and get out of the car wash to close the door, get some water removal from the fuel liquid or in worst case, the fuel tank need to be drained out completely ... note: the Honda civic 2016 has no cap on the fuel intake ....
