Walk-Away Auto Lock unreliable. Sometimes it works fine, other times when door is shut, a long string of beeps occurs without auto-lock occurring. Usually re-opening and closing the door again, you get the standard 1 beep and auto lock. It almost seems the system is too sensitive, and thinks the FOB is still in the car. I've ruled out a faulty door sensor, as it can occur when any door is shut.
I enabled the feature that allows you to just walk away from the vehicle after exiting and the car will automatically lock for you. However, it seems like this feature is not reliable. Sometimes the car will beep once and lock as you walk away and it works fine. But other times, instead of beeping once, I get a rapid series of beeps and the car does not lock when I walk away. It must be locked using the key fob. Or, you can open the door again and close it and hope that it detects the key fob to be outside of the car and successfully lock when you walk away. I have not been able to determine why it only functions sporadically. The dealer had no clue about it and I could not demonstrate the problem when I made a trip to the dealer to show them the problem.
