The contact owns a 2015 Honda Civic. While driving approximately 50 mph, the contact heard a rattling noise underneath the vehicle near the tires. The contact turned off the radio to hear the noise and noticed a wind noise. The contact then slid the cover for the sun roof back and noticed that the sun roof glass had blown out. The contact took the vehicle to the round rock Honda dealer (2301 N interstate hwy 35, round rock, tx 78664; 512-904-6900) where it was diagnosed that the glass needed to be replaced. The dealer was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The contact researched the failure and discovered that it was common. The dealer stated that the repair was not covered under warranty. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 24,500.
