Civic SI 2.4L I4

This is battery #3 since I bought the car. The first one lasted a year, the second one less than a year, and now I went with an Optima Yellow Top - not even going to bother with Honda again, especially after seeing thousands of people online having the same issue with batteries dying less than a month on a brand new car.

Civic EX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 375 miles

Brand new Honda Civic 2015, barely 1 month old. Husband parked it and went off to work... came back after work and the battery was dead. No lights on the dashboard. The blinking blue light for the alarm was also disabled; he was able to open the door and get in, but couldn't use the push-button start.

Called Honda Service which picked it up and towed it to the service center. The technician said there was a battery problem with 'bad cells.'

I certainly didn't expect this from a car that's less than 1 month old and 375 miles on it... very disappointed. They fixed it for free and we picked it up next day...
