I was at work the other day as normal I push the button to lock the car. This time I had parked farther than usual, about 300 feet away from the office as compared to 100 feet. I heard the car lock and everything was normal. My boss asked me to go pick up something a couple of hours later so I went to my car.
When I got there the trunk was popped open slightly. I had not pressed any buttons on my key fob. I think the buttons may be too large, sensitive and easy to press. Luckily I still had everything in my trunk.
The trunk closed normally and didn't have a problem the rest of the day.
Update from Aug 6, 2019 I bought a cheap Key Fob cover. Haven't had the problem since. I think the buttons are too sensitive but this has solved the issue. Cost me $10
