I turned off the car, lights were off, the keys were left in the ignition in the off position. 10 minutes later I tried to start the car. The starter would not turn over, lights did not dim while trying to start car. Dash lights flashed while trying to start the car, and the battery jumped, but would not start.

The starter did not make any noise, lights did not dim. Took jumper cables off, car sat for 10 minutes waiting for tow, I tried it again, before wrecked arrived the car started up.

THE BATTERY TESTED GOOD during this whole time.

Got home, and the car now starts right up. Tried to start it several more times, it starts right up.

I do not understand why it did not start, now it does.

To be honest, I am not completely sure off hand when the problem started or the date it was solved. I purchased my 2014 Honda in 2015. I probably had the car maybe a year when I noticed at time my car wouldn't start. It happened at 2 of my employers and possibly at home.

A few times that I went in to get my oil changed and one time I had my back light replaced, before my warranty expired I informed 2 Honda dealerships. I informed Hopkins, MN and (Brookdale) Brooklyn Park, MN dealers. Both told me the battery was fine. I even had the alternator tested and was told it was fine. As I explained to Honda I never use the automatic inside lights (when door opens) that I always turn them on and off myself and that I never leave an accessory or the lights on when car isn't being used.

So finally, my insurance company State Farm contacted me and stated that due to numerous roadside calls I would no longer be covered. So in April my roadside ended. I believe that it was May and I happened to be in Hopkins, MN and stopped at a business. I was in there no longer than 5-7 mins. I got back to my vehicle and my car wouldn't start. I had to call AAA and purchase their service. It might have taken a total of 2 hours between paying and waiting for service.

I drove to the nearest parts store and had my battery tested. I was told the battery had a dead cell and to take my car in or purchase their battery.

I drove to Honda soon after to service my vehicle. I was told by mechanics and the manager that my battery tested fine. I stressed to the service manager that I wasn't leaving until the issue was solved. After she tricked the system/battery and intentionally drained the battery she told me it did have a dead cell. She then told me that since it was after my warranty that I had to pay a portion. I either paid for the battery or to have it installed. I can't remember since it was so long ago. I did explain my issue to her and she stated that I should contact the Honda number. She was kind and helpful but I shouldn't have paid anything since I complained when my warranty was still in effect.

At the time and currently, I work for 3 employers and my union which brought me to be employed with 4 companies. I really don't have time to sit around and complain. So I kept putting the call to Honda off.

Also, one other time I brought my car in to get an oil change. Immediately after the service I drove home and my boyfriend told me my back light was out and why the mechanics didn't catch it. I took it in some time later and the lady who checked me in stated that it was filled with water and not working. So that was covered under the warranty. At this same service I mentioned my issue about my car repeatedly being jumped. I was told then it was okay nothing was wrong with the battery.

During my purchase experience I wasn't happy. I almost didn't purchase the Honda but really wanted the car so I did regardless of the experience.

I was never told that I had roadside assistance with Honda otherwise I would have used them as well. I currently to this day do not have roadside assistance. My insurance company stated that I could not ask to have it added back until 3 years after losing the service.
