I purchased my 2013 plate Honda Civic in January this year (2016). Within 2 weeks the car was cutting out while driving along and cutting out while pulling away (looks like stalling). In March the car dashboard went mad flashing and the car wouldn't start. My husband had to get the breakdown company out but their system couldn't log anything.
In May my car sat shaking/vibrating violently while across 2 lanes of traffic. I have put my car into City Honda on numerous occasions (the last time was for 5 weeks) and they have told me there is no fault. I have allowed their technician to commute using my vehicle but he 'can't recreate the fault'. After sending some screenshots to Honda UK tech team the battery was replaced as a fault was showing up 'really deep in the system'.
I had my car back for 6 days when it cut out while driving again and cut out while turning into my close across 2 lanes of traffic again, so it wasn't the battery causing the fault! I have now tried to reject my agreement with the finance company, but, despite my car being in the garage for a total of nearly 3 months in the 5 months I have owned it, Honda are refusing to accept that there is a fault, and so the finance company are not upholding my complaint.
From trawling the internet I have found several people reporting this exact fault and being told the same thing, however they're all in America and I'm in the UK... anyone in the UK experiencing these problems too? I now have a car that I won't drive because it's dangerous. There's no chance I'm putting my son in that car as it's just a matter of time before it causes an accident, and I'm stuck paying over £200 a month for a death trap :(
