A very serious problem, Civic 2012 shifts to Neutral from Drive while your vehicle is moving and go over a bump or a repeated vibration. It happened twice while my vehicle was quite new, in excellent shape and low mileage. Are you wondering what is going to happen if you have the car for a longer term and go beyond 25,000 and 35,000 miles? Similar transmission problems with CRV.
I~M~A~G~I~N~E you are driving and suddenly you are in N E U T R A L! engine could turn off and lose power = C R A S H. On top of that, HONDA Corporate denied even to look at it!
C H E C K yours by shifting from Drive to Neutral and if it is TOO EASY, then you are definitely having a problem, not only with the car but also with Honda because they DO NOT CARE! Until an really bad accident will Happen and they are going to get SUED!
Honda Corporate is in Torrance and you might try to visit them and see how it works? If you want to join the complaint, plz feel free to contact me and maybe HONDA will listen to a Lawsuit, and provide the appropriate support for their products!
