gas mileage reduced by a third
How can Honda advertise that Civics get 39 MPG? I have a 2012 Honda Civic with the "Econ" system that gets about 21 in town and about 28 on the highway. It used to get 38 on the highway and average around 32 around town.
I took it to the dealer, they said they put a couple gallons of gas in it and drove 80 miles and it got about 35 MPG. Hello, if it is a contest to see what a person can get under ideal circumstances, I could probably get over 40. I'm talking about an overall average of everyday driving over a period of time. I am 55 years old, still live and work in the same places, use the car for the same thing, why would the mileage drop a third like that.
The dealer said they did a diagnosis and could not find anything unusual. Oh yeah? How about a Honda Civic with the Econ system that only gets 21 MPG!!!
