Well I was very excited when I bought my new Honda Civic but almost as soon as I pulled off the lot I noticed hard shifting and when I would slow down (7 to 10 mph) it would lurch forward. I called the Honda dealership where I purchased it and they said this is normal since it's so new....I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!! This is a brand new car and I shouldn't have any shifting problems. Also, when I go to back out of my driveway sometimes it just flies backwards without me having to push on the gas....scary!! My husband has a 2001 Civic and he doesn't have any of these problems...I hope I don't have any other problems. Now I have to try and get this fixed.
This is a brand new car! I took it to the dealership a week after driving it to tell them of problem. , they said no problem, although they did not run a diagnostic, or even have their mechanics speak with me directly. The car is now not quite 3 weeks old. Everytime is slows down, between about 3-7 miles per hour, it lurches forward and then comes to a stop. Something is not right. It also accelerates after coming to a complete stop - without me putting my foot on the gas. I am also now noticing a noticeable 'hard shift" at about 25 MPH>
