Purchased my 2010 Honda Civic LX-S in October of 2010. Had I known the car doors would not stay open when trying to exit the car I would have never purchased this car. The car doors constantly close on my legs in the middle of getting out. The weight of the car door swinging closed has caused numerous bruises on my legs. I literally have to keep kicking the door open until I can exit enough to actually hold it open with my hand. When it is windy this becomes an even more difficult challenge. I spoke to 3 other Honda Civic owners (different years) and when I mentioned this problem to them their response was, "yeah, mine does that too!". I don't think it gets reported enough only because there are so many other problems with the Honda Civics that this problem is often "forgotten" when reporting problems with the car. My elderly Mom does not like riding in my car because of this issue. She can't get in or out of my car without someone holding the car door open for her. Very annoying to say the least.
