The power steering went about 5 times; duration was from three hours to one hour. Inexplicably, it comes back.I asked Honda about it, and they said bring it in. But, since it's not a problem presently, they said they couldn't do anything. I vaguely remember them saying, that if it was one thing, they could fix for free. But if it is something else, they would charge. Since I am very poor, I am just continue driving. They told me that the steering would not give out. I told them, that if a little old woman or man were driving, with a similar problem as mine, then there could be a catastrophe, since they would not have the strength to maintain the car's correct direction.

I am flabbergasted, really, that they are not more alarmed. I bought the car second hand from them, and I had assumed they would be concerned for my safety. And though maybe not legally obliged to help me, you would think that they would be anxious to get to the bottom of this problem.

I found their office, City Honda [St. John's NL] to be almost lawyery [new word!] when talking to them. They side stepped the issue, and were defensive, and putting all the onus on me. If it weren't an obvious workmanship problem, and , say, an engine problem etc., I would appreciate their washing of their hands.

But I feel certain, by intuition, that this is not the first time they have heard about this problem. And I don't think they are telling me everything they already know about the steering problem. Now I understand those unbelievable stories, where car companies actually weigh the pros and cons, of either doing a call back, or measuring their cost by not calling back defective models, and, instead, calculating that it is more prudent to just pay the lawsuits or class action suits.
