My family and I have owned several Hondas in the last 15 years and have never had engine problems. 7,000 miles out of warranty Honda told me I would have to pay $4500 for a new-used engine with 84k miles! Or they would cover half of the repairs utilizing a reconditioned Honda engine for $3200! Having had my oil changed in a timely manner at the dealership where the vehicle was purchased brand new I don't feel this is fair. There is no good reason my engine should have failed with proper maintenance at the dealership and no tell tale signs. I will NEVER buy another Honda again. The treatment I received should not have been seeing as how I USED TO BE AN AVID HONDA LOVER. I am utterly disappointed with the customer service form Honda and the crappy parts they use in their vehicles these days. I think next time I'll get a HYUNDAI with a 10 year warranty, it seems they have more faith in the quality of their vehicles!
