exterior moulding coming off/doors don't shut
Driver door would not shut properly (mouldings were hitting against opening). Went to Honda dealer who charged about $20 to tell me to go to a body shop as I needed mouldings. Body shop told me that the problem was the doors. Ford dealership realigned the driver door (no charge) and said it would be a few hundred to replace the moulding as they were damaged. Left moulding. Then passenger door started clicking and not shutting properly...moulding is hitting as it has moved. Moulding on back passenger door is buckled. Went to dealer they want about $400 to replace mouldings! I told them the problem was 'how the moulding got out of line and that had to be corrected before I could replace mouldings. They were charging me $22 for telling me that the mouldings had to be replaced! They reversed that charge. Now they are referring me to a body shop so they can assess the real problem. I have a Honda Sport bought new in May 2009..it has $46,000 kilometers on it and I can't get into it without door problems!
