I purchase this 2008 Honda Civic Si used in May of 2011 at a Toyota Dealer I was working at as a mechanic. Around the mileage mark of 61,090 when shifting into 3rd gear it made grinding sounds when shifting and pops out of 3rd gear. The dealer diagnosed it as a M/T Malfunction in the Transmission with 3rd gear shift synchros. There is also several TSB silent recalls on this problem that Honda is trying to keep under covers. I live in Pa. which Lemon Law on used cars does not apply and my car is now in a shop waiting to be fixed for the same problem. The estimated cost this time is around $3,000.00 the first time the dealer told they would fix it as a courtesy of me working there which I have since left that dealership. I do not think I should pay for this repair since it is something Honda knows about. My issue is how do I go about getting it repaired?
