My car was in a minor rear quarter panel accident, I took the car to get fixed and when I got it back it was producing a awful smell after about 10 mins of driving. The smell was nauseating, it smells like a combination of burning poop, burning rubber and marsh land. I let this go on for about 2 months thinking a small animal had crawled into my heating system and died. Eventually after 3 months and the smell not going away, I took the car to the dealer. They looked at it for 90 minutes and said there were no animals and that the burning smell was the lubricant on the clutch heating up and that I needed a new clutch- approx. cost $1500. They also asked if I was a new standard driver- Im not, i have only ever driven standard. I still cant figure out the problem and now im also getting a funny grinding in the front of the car. I am thinking this car might be a lemon. Has anyone else had any similar problems?
