The problem started manifesting itself when I was at or near 120,000 miles so I am not really sure if it is a problem with Honda in particular. A/C compressors do go after 10 years and 100,000 miles. That's one reason it is sometimes a good thing to buy an extended warranty, although sometimes you have to argue with the warranty company to get them to fix things as promised.
