about a year ago, I put on my 3rd set of tires becus they were wearing unevenly and through the belts after regular rotations. I was informed that I needed a camber kit to be able to get the tires aligned. After having to produce all my service papers, & being firm to prove my facts, my dealership where I bought the car installed the camber kit. The tires still can not be put in perfect alignment. Last month , I took the car to have oil change and mentioned that the front axle was clicking wen I turned and backed up. They said both the left and right axle parts- not sure of names-- need to be replaced and the car only had 60,000 miles on it .The dealer quoted around $700 for the repair and said they may could pay half. After the trouble I have had with the rear tires already, I felt Honda should pay ALL> I have always owned Hondas. They said they would try to get Honda to pay half. I think Honda should pay all- A car should last longer than this expecially a Honda! That is why people buy Hondas because they are known to be built well and will last a long time. I am a single mom who has lost my job due to the death of my boss. I have just made my last payment on the car but can not afford repairs That is not the point though. At 60,000 the axles should not be worn out making noises and dangerous. I am starting to think that this 2007 Honda Civic model car is defective and is a Lemon? I called Honda and talked to 2 different people 4 different times. On girl was very condescending with her questions and statements. Another guy was much more helpful but talked quite rehearsed. I am having the car repaired Monday out of fear of malfunction and because I need a reliable vehicle. The American Honda guy was going on a long vacation over the Fourth of July week and said he would be back in touch in 10 days and asked me to have the dealer fax a copy of the repair to him while he was gone.I hope to resolve this and after reading all the issues with this 2007Honda Civic, I am very apprehensive to be an owner of a car whose performance is so substandard.
