AUX Input Replacement Part - I had this issue with my 07' civic just last year and I searched the internet and found the official honda part on amazon. I got it for around $17 when I ordered it and I just had to pop out the old one and put in the new. took about 10 min to do that and so far it works flawlessly. Cheapest place that I have seen it is amazon. Normally I believe it would've been about $80 or so to have the dealer order the part and put it in. hopefully this helps anybody that has this same issue with their civic.
Couldn't find affordable parts at the time or a method of removing it without disassembling the entire dash, so I just ripped the port out and soldered a bridge between the detection pins; now the AUX always appears connected, problem solved.
