Windshield wipers fail to turn off or when they do turn off fail to park in a lowered position. Vehicle was 500 miles out of warranty. Apparently this is a known problem with manufacturer who has issued a tsr on this. Dealer filed appeal with district service manager who authorized a replacement of the wiper motor for a courtesy charge of $50 to owner.
A sudden collapse of the rear window the rear window collapsed upon itself for no apparent reason, filling the back seat with sharp shards of glass. The car was parked in the driveway, the day was clear and bright, and I was standing right behind the car when the rear window started to collapse upon itself. I shudder to think what would have happened to a baby restrained in the back seat if such a glass shower landed on it while driving. I had the rear window replaced at my own cost. My efforts to have the manufacturer reimburse me under the car warranty failed.
