Engine gave no indication of any problem. Started out on a 3.5 hour trip south. 1.5 hours into the trip, transmission seized and we were stuck on the side of the highway. Paid $450 to get towed the rest of the way to a Honda dealership. The dealership said that I was just unlucky and that they rarely see these problems in the '06 Civic, although they did mention the large amount of transmission problems with the '04 model.
