I have owned a 97 Accord and 1998 Odyssey with no major problems. The 2004 Civic gave code P0730 just like others have listed here with hard shifting and slipping. My faith in Honda just went down hill. Anyone try Lucas Transmission Fix? Does it work?
So much for Honda reliability, what a piece of junk. I bought this 2004 Honda Civic VP used (79K) as a commuter. A year had passed and now at 87000 plus miles, I was driving to work and after a few stops on the freeway due to traffic. My engine light came on and seconds follow delayed and hard shifting. It would remain in low gear and never up shift unless you give it more gas. Stopping and going made the problem worst, I barely made it to work The damn car is still in the shop...the bill will be close to $3...F*&K U Honda!. I have had many many different cars ranging from 5 series BMW to a Toyota Camry...this by far was the worst car. Dead transmission at 87K...just pathetic. I will never buy another Honda again and neither will my family if I have any thing to say about it.
Ok i have a 04 Honda Civic and it seems to go in the shop every month. Last month i had an Electrical Problem that was covered under warranty. Now, every time i go to pick my speed up to get like on the highway, the RPM's skyrocket into the red and i don't go any faster, then it drops down into a lower gear and then it picks up slowly. i have 21000 miles and problems never stop coming. Also, when i take corners and accelerate it seems to bog and hesitate and then finally pick up speed.
