The contact owns a 2004 Honda Civic. While driving 55 mph, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle. The entire front end of the contact's vehicle was damaged, but the most damage was done to the driver side. The driver side air bag failed to deploy. The road conditions were slick at the time of the crash. She sustained a fractured sternum and a mild concussion and was transported to the hospital. A police report was filed and pictures are available. The current and failure mileages were 53,379.
Driver air bag did not deploy in front end collision with serve damage to car including moving the engine, replacement of the radiator, fan housing, ft bumper and hood. Speed approx. 35 mph. Several complaints have been made to Honda in regard to the air bag light. Honda dealer even assured the owner one week prior to accident that air bag was functioning.
While driving at 20 mph and crossing a stop light the consumer was T-boned on the drivers side by another vehicle. The side air bags did not deploy. The consumer suffered back injuries.
