Another cracked Honda manifold story! This is my sixth Honda, never had the problem before. A friendly mechanic got the combo exhaust manifold/catalytic converter for $582 from Honda, put it on for $100
I probably should have gone aftermarket, you can get them for $329
2003 civic, 96,00Km, dealer said "you must have hit a puddle". Really. Dealer said it would be $1,300 plus tax to repair. Considering a weld attempt. Will update.

just got an exhaust manifold done on my 01 honda civic.... it was under warranty... left the lot and my oil light was coming on.... so i called my brother who is a mechanic he told me 2 stop and check the oil.... he had changed it the nite before...it was empty... i put 2 quarts and drove 2 his garage and he had 2 add another one 2 it....gonna keep and eye on it and call Honda 2morrow and find out what the heck happened.... want 2 know if they drained the oil and forgot 2 replace it .... i am sure i will never know and they would not tell me the truth anyways..... so i want 2 know do they do anything 2 the oil when they change the exhaust manifold.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
