Dealer wanted $400 to solve the issue. No way, I just want to be able to see the dash panel at night. Checked the local junk yards, and the dash dimmer switch is $20 used in any yard. I found that a 5 cent electrical spade type wire connector connector plugged right into the factory harness, used as a jumper, will get the dash lights at high setting when the lights are turned on. Easy fix, couldn't be happier by just by-passing the failed unit. Now if you roll the wheel to dim the lights, nothing happens, sure beats no dash lights, or $400 just to have a feature I just don't care to have. Hey its a civic, we are all going for cheap here.
