When I drive the car the check engine light comes on. And requires maintence to the vehicle. Just wanted to know if my car is under recalls at all. Thanks sometimes my transmissions slips.

The contact owns a 1999 Honda Civic. The contact stated that a crunching noise could be heard coming from the rear while driving 30 mph and above. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the contact was informed that the rear trailing arm was cracked. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 29,000.

Consumer complained that the bumper clearance for the vehicle was too low. Consumer drove to a concrete stop. When pulling away, it ripped the bumper off the vehicle. Consumer contacted the manufacturer, who suggested that the vehicle should be taken to the dealership. Consumer was informed that the repair will have to be paid out of pocket. Also, consumer was told by the dealership that they serviced about 4 or 5 of these defects a week.
