Driving at 55 mph a Ford Focus pulled straight out in front of me and came to a stop. I was approximately 1 car length away when they did this so I did not have time to stop and could not pull out around them because I would have been in oncoming traffic. I T-boned this vehicle doing 55 mph and they were stopped. My front end hit directly on their front drivers side. Their front left fender and tire were bent in and both of their front air bags deployed. My whole front end was crushed in and the center of my hood looked like I hit a tree. None of my air bags deployed. If I had not been wearing my seat belt I would have been more seriously injured than I was. Where are the sensors for air bag deployment" shouldn't mine have deployed"
The contact owns a 1998 Honda Civic. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle was involved in a crash in which none of the air bags deployed. A police report was filed and the driver was reported injured. The vehicle was not inspected or repaired. The failure and current mileages were 180,000.
I own a 1998 Honda Civic LX, and the SRS light on. It cost me $64 to tell me there was nothing wrong. The Honda dealership said if goes on again they will replace the computer chip and will cost $500 to $700 to do that. They don't know what's causing it. I went on the internet and found lots of other people with Honda's with the same problem. It appears Honda is not taking the blame for it. How safe is it for me to drive my car with knowing the airbags won't go off" I feel this is a very unsafe situation driving my car, knowing the light can be set off at any time, and the dealership has no idea what's causing this" I'm a little skeptical about the Honda dealership. After reading all the complaints, many people seem to be having the same problem.

Air bags did not deploy when car hit the back of another vehicle at approx. 35 M.P.H. front end of Honda Civic was demolished and nothing protected driver from hitting windshield even with seat belt on her. This car was for teenager and dealer was asked specific questions about the safety of the vehicle including the air bags. We were told that car was very safe and everything was in working order. Now we know that the air bags were not working.
While driving vehicle was smashed into from the side which then threw the vehicle into a telephone pole head on. Neither dual air bags deployed upon either impact. Nlm
My car is totaled by another drivers negligence; I was told by a lawyer that because my son and I were not killed in the accident we could not file a claim against the manufactor for the airbags not deploying even though it was a head on colllison. I called the manufactor and all the lady told me was that she would send me a "brochure" on how the airbags worked. I know my son and I were extremely lucky in this accident, however I still think something is wrong with the attitude I have received. I still have to live with the pain of hearing my sons voice scream in terror over and over again in my head and I think its one of the worst things a mother has to go through with her child.
