I've recently purchased a 2020 CR-V EX-L Hybrid and been using both Google Maps and Apple Maps during my commute. When either apps are opened via Apple CarPlay, there appears to be "smearing" of pixels during operation. I have added screenshots of the smearing and normal operation.
Background: Up to date software for Iphone XS Max Driven less than 1000 miles Used multiple USB cords Issue occurs typically when I have it opened for more than 10+ minutes either navigating or having it just on Sometimes when i'm talking on the phone while either app is opened Lately temperatures have been colder than usual (25-40 F during drives)
Temporary Solutions: 1.) I can get it back to normal when I exit out of the application to youtube music or phone and return back to Maps app. However, after 5+ minutes, it will return to its glitchy smear screen seen on screenshots posted. 2.) Changed USB chargers. I initially thought it was my cord but after using the Maps app for 10+ minutes, the glitchy smear screen came back with a different cord.
Came back from the dealership. They stated that the issue was not reproducible as the technician drove around for 20 minutes with Google Maps opened. Based on what they found and experienced in other CR-Vs (gas models), they stated the firmware was the issue (in this case, my Iphone XSMax). My main goal was to have it on record with my dealership. I'll keep you guys posted after I do the following:
1.) Delete Google Maps and Apple Maps and reinstall them 2.) Backup my phone and install Google Maps and Apple Maps
