The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal to make a lane change, the vehicle revved up and hesitated before gaining forward momentum. The contact stated he heard an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that it sounded as if the electric hybrid propulsion system had shut off. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure to accelerate was intermittent and occurred when he was on the highway and was depressing the accelerator pedal to gain speed. Additionally, the contact stated that he observed that the vehicle would start independently and that the power door locks would fail to operate as needed. The contact stated that on several occasions after turning off the vehicle and entering the residence the contact heard the vehicle emitting a remote start beep. This is the second occurrence of a similar problem. First problem occurred on Sept 14, 2023 and service slip is attached. While driving the car lost power but I was able to regain power but I got adaptive cruise control system problem, collision mitigation braking system problem, smart entry system problem -see dealer warnings. Pulled into a parking lot but when I shut car off got accessory mode on screen. Navigation system remained active and could not restart car or lock car doors. Called service and they jump started the car and I drove car to dealer. Dealer said car had water in fuse box. I did not drive thru any water and car was not in any flood area. I asked if this could be a problem with the electric transmission as I had seen info on the internet about this. No one seems to know the new recall I was talking about. Car is currently at dealer waiting for parts.

Check engine warnings 2 times with less than 4300 miles on the car. First one, called a dealer and was told a recall due to wrong software loaded into the car. Back to the shop today for the same warning. Waiting for results. Since the first warning, maybe 20% of the time, very rough engine start when the gas motor engages. Dealer said was fine the first time.

At approximately 9:30pm CST Saturday June 17th my 2023 Honda CRV Sport Touring has a rapid loss of power while travelling on the I-55 expressway in Illinois before the Weber Rd exit. Received critical engine failure error message and transmission failure error message. Final error was emission system error. Engine block was shaking severely - car could not move. Car towed to dealership where purchased, Valley Honda in Aurora IL. Has been with their service since then. They said piston was misfiring. They were talking about breaking down the engine but moved in a different engine. May need fuel injectors replaced - but shortage of those. Waiting for update, next step may be for me to meet with sales (hopefully for refund or buyback). Please contact me if you need additional information.
