The contact owns a 2022 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, several unknown messages became displayed on the instrument panel. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle began to hesitate upon depression of the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and after several days, the dealer performed a valve adjustment to repair the vehicle. Recently while driving 73 MPH, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal, with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and drove to an independent mechanic. The mechanic retrieved a DTC code for an engine misfire. The vehicle was not repaired. I was on the highway going approximately 65mph for 10 minutes when my engine light turned on and began blinking. Immediately when it turned on I lost the ability to accelerate and had to go across 3 lanes of extremely busy and fast traffic to pull over onto the shoulder. Once I was on the shoulder, I shut my car off for 2 minutes and restarted it and the car worked as normal again. The initial incident occurred on October 4th, 2024, and it has happened again on November 29th, 2024. I do have an image of the engine light on that was taken on October 4th if that would be helpful at all. I've looked online to find out that other Honda CR-V Hybrid owners have had this issue with no fix provided from Honda at all. Their advice is to leave the car running and get it towed to a Honda dealership immediately, which can be extremely expensive depending on your distance to a dealership and sometimes not feasible if I'm on my way to my job and cannot call out "sick". I feel as though this is irresponsible of the dealership to put the onus on consumers, and is clearly a recall waiting to happen that they just haven't admitted to yet.

Two incidents where the Engine suddenly shut off. Incident 1 (August 4th): We had come to a complete stop at a traffic light. After a few seconds the engine shut off (we had Auto Start/Stop disabled), the dash and radio briefly stopped and then the dashboard's indicator lights lid up as they would before a car is started. We put the gear shift into Park and restarted the car. It started right away and we had no issues for 1 week. Incident 2 (August 11th): While pulling into our inclined driveway and almost stopped or just stopped, the Engine shut off again (this time Auto Start/Stop was active) and the car started to roll back. We applied the brakes, the car stopped. We put the gear shift into Park and restarted the car. The car restarted without problems. We are worried because this happened for a second time now and we are not sure if this sudden Engine shut off could occur while driving / driving at high speeds.

I change my oil about every 3,000 with FULL SYNTHETIC oil. I check the oil level to make sure it isn-??t low. I smell a very strong odor of gasoline on the dipstick. I-??ve heard Honda has been having a problem with oil dilution. My CRV is very hesitant at times and almost caused me to get into an accident on a few occasions. Something needs to be done about this and the Government needs Honda to issue a recall. Also they-??re having an electrical issue. The dash and screen flicker on and off. This is very frustrating especially at night.

Power system problem light started coming on soon after we bought the car new. It has been towed to Barber Honda in Bakersfield many times- it dies, won-??t start. It is on the 3rd battery within 1st year. The last incident was 10/23/23 the car suddenly lost all power in an area of mountains- I was stranded without cell phone service, it was dangerous. Finally had it towed again- this time they replaced the fuel pump. We have had a lawyer since 4/4/23 and Honda has refused to do anything to about this car! I am scared to drive it.
