The contact owns a 2020 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the contact heard an explosive sound coming from the vehicle without incident. The contact pulled over to inspect the vehicle but discovered no damage; however, upon resuming driving, she heard rushing wind coming from the panoramic sunroof. Upon pulling back the sunroof cover, the contact discovered a significant-sized hole in the sunroof. An unknown dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not inspected or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.
Sunroof window spontaneously exploded while driving. I was the only vehicle on the road when the window exploded. Happened at approximately 630am. Have searched but no recalls on this issue, only a class action lawsuit.
