Since last year July 2023 I’ve been reported to Coggin Honda Orlando dealer about noise front left axle when I moved wheel to the left side. They check and don’t find nothing. I reported 3 times and last time I also been in text road with the mechanic he hear the noise and problem I’ve been reported and told me it’s nothing to worry about it. He said is going to check better in my next oil change appointment. After a year now they find out that the problem is steering rack. And at the time I first reported I still had extended warranty that should be covered. Now they want to charge me $3067.91. I open a complaint with Honda headquarter and they only want to give me less than half of the estimated. Plus as soon I took my car to check that noise last time may 2024 they finally found out was steering rack problem, as soon, I give the keys to the advisor I received a text message from Honda making a deal to buy my car. Smell like a little funny.

I purchase a brand new 2019 Honda CRV EX-L and the rack and pinion is already needs to replace at 52K miles. Lifetime Honda owner, but this just changes my mind.

Steering sticks when turning left then right at highway speeds. Minor adjustments require stronger turning. Feels like power steering has a sticky spot. Terrified this will cause a crash at high speed.

CR-V LX 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

I see there are numerous complaints on here for this complaint. I did a chat with Honda and they were of no help.

The dealership said fix it, park it or sell it. I then receive emails offering to purchase the car.

This is my third Honda product and probably my last.

I think there should be a recall for this problem.
