When reaching the bottom of an incline, with Cruise Control engaged, the engine begins to surge 500 RPM, or more; of course the speed of the vehicle also surges. THIS IS A POTENTIAL ACCIDENT,
I was told this is NORMAL when using the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). I explained to the Service Dept. that I have NEVER used the ACC. Then, I was told that I was feeling 'engine-breaking,' while the ACC was in use. Again, I explained that I have NEVER used the ACC.
This is my third new Honda, in 17-years... all bought from the same dealership. I am disappointed that Honda, and this dealership, think that this condition is NORMAL. Hey, this is the first car I've ever owned that did this. Does this mean they were not normal?
Update from Feb 11, 2020: I plan to monitor this situation and contact the dealership, again, if necessary. I must say, the dealership seems to have been correct, concerning another complaint I submitted to this site... and I have apologized.
Even with this surge issue, I am enjoying this CR-V thus far...but, I will monitor the issue.
