I received a recall notice from Honda on July 7,2019 advising of a wiring problem in the steering column. While driving the crash avoidance alarm started and the brake was suddenly applied momentarily. This may be a symptom related to the wiring problem mentioned in the recall letter. This could be a very serious hazard had I been traveling at freeway speed.

While driving 55 down a busy highway, my car out of nowhere brakes heavy on its own with brake light flashing in the dash. The car behind me thank god switched lanes in time to not rear end me!!! I was freaked out to say the least! I have had this car less than a year and this is NOT GOOD!! Called the dealership today and they were not very helpful with a solution. :(

I was driving on the freeway at 60 mph. Traffic was flowing. Out of nowhere, the care sensed a possible collision and applied the brakes. I immediately was at 30 mph. It was terrifying and I feel fortunate that no one slammed into me. This happened on LA 110 freeway.
