The driver sun visor will not stay in the fully closed position. This creates a visibility problem for the driver. Also, with the resting position of the failed visor, if i were in an accident or sudden stop, the edge of the visor would impact the drivers head causing injury. The failed part is not covered under any warranty by the manufacturer and repair costs several hundred dollars. There are several examples online of other buyers of the same vehicle model experiencing the safety issue.

The driver side visor will not remain in the full upright position. When driving the vehicle I have hit my head several times due to the visor falling to a 45 degree position instead of remaining in the flat against the headliner. This requires constant adjustment while driving by moving to the side window, or moving back to the front windshield to avoid constant nuisance while driving. We have hit our head on the visor MANY times looking for traffic at a stop sign or when merging. After taking the vehicle for services, this issue has been brought up to several service personnel at the dealer and stated the owner is responsible for this common defect. There are numerous issues listed on the complaint list that have been reported. Just yesterday, I spotted a CRV of simmilar year model in costco parking lot, and stopped to look in the vehicle to notice that they had a loose driver side visor hanging down about 3-4 inches as well. This shows that this is very common. The replacment part is in excess of $150 to replace, and there are numorous comments about replacing this part due to same reason only to encounter the same result after a few months of use. Since this has become such a nuisance for the driver and a safety issue of constantly adjusting to ensure a clear field of view driving, we have opted to just remove the visor knowing that the replacement will likely be a waste of time and money to only encounter the same issues again at a later date. It is disappointing to see that Honda is not taken serious concern for the customers encountering this issue that is such a common safety distraction and nuisance to the drivers of these year model CRV's. I read reports that have been entered from a 2018-2020 for more than a dozen vehicles just on here that have reported the issue. This visor is a vehicle safety feature that the customer should not have to remove in efforts to minimize safety risks that are more often a nuisance than assisting in safety and visibility.

I was driving down a road with no traffic when the sunroof shattered. I pulled over and there was a hole in the middle and it was completely cracked. No damage to any other component of the sunroof just the glass. There was nothing that impacted or fell on the sunroof. There was no prior damage to the sunroof or surrounding area. The sunroof was closed not in use at time of incident. Dealership could not find a reason for the damage but did say they had someone else go in for a sun roof randomly exploding as well.

While driving down the interstate at 70 miles an hour, the sunroof exploded. It sounded like a bomb. Glass went everywhere. I was nowhere near a tree and nothing fell on my car. The weather was beautiful that day and had been all week. Unless something fell from outer space, there is no way anything external caused it. It was absolutely random, terrifying, and expensive to fix. It rained the next morning and water got all into my electrical wiring which has now created a new set of problems. Problems that should all be Honda's responsibility for a clearly defective sunroof.

Cracked windshield with no impact damage. Happened while car was parked in a carport overnight (12/2/2022). Stress crack is about 8" inches in length originating from drivers side A-pillar under mounding. Vehicle us still under manufacturers 3 yr/36k mile new car warranty. As the windshield is an integral part of the SRS system, we consider this a safety defect.

Single internal 4" long windshield crack developed starting at the Honda Sensing safety suite sensor block built into the top of the windshield. This crack is growing in length on the passenger side of the windshield and is currently about 9" long. There were no windshield overheating or freezing issues (the crack originally appeared on 04/14/2022), no car incidents, or road hazards (like something hitting the windshield). My car is still under warranty but local Honda dealer refused to even take a look at the windshield condition stating that Honda's warranty does not cover windshield.

Multiple system issues with this car, I was told by Honda Sevice manager, -?? most people don-??t even know what all the features do and don-??t know they aren-??t workin-?? WOW!! Most recently (2022)there is a spontaneous window crack, very fine line. Cannot feel crack at all on outside or inside of glass. Not from impact. Crack goes up to black area of windshield about 3.5-?? long. You can google and see there was a class action lawsuit filed do to Framing defect in CRV that causes windshield to spontaneously crack. (It was settled/ended with the initial plant if settling, without Honda responsibility, so no recall or notice to the rest of us driving this dangerous car) There are several reports of the crack leading to whole windshield shattering. I-??m being told to -??wait for Honda corporate to decide if they will cover under warranty-?? Even though the warranty administrator at Lisle Honda looked at it and said it was not from an object. He had to take photos, after marking with pen/ marker to send to corporate for decision. Also, ADAS system malfunctioning, auto emergency braking for no reason, no trafic around, blind spot warning only works sometime, lane departure rarely works, ALL system display as -??not functioning-?? the minute there is even slight fog, rain or snow. Even AWD system no functioning warning. And passenger airbag randomly shows as -??airbag off-?? when an adult is sitting in passenger seat, requiring us to pull over, get out of car, turn car off, lock it, unlock it and get back in to restart (sometimes several times before off light goes away). I have reported all of these problems over the past several years to Honda Lisle to no avail. I-??m waiting to see if warranty will cover windshield for defect.

My 2019 Honda CR-V just had it's rear glass exploded all of a sudden. It was a 85F degree day and condition seemed normal and nothing out of the ordinary. The rear window left and right sides had a huge fault crack all along the edges. The middle of the windshield popped a hole and then upon lifting the trunk because I was unaware of the glass, the hole increased in size and chunks of glass just rained everywhere. Honda claims an object struck the glass, but that would mean the main damage would concentrate around that area. Judging from the damage to the left and right edges, it would indicate the glass internally failed all together.

Was driving approx 65 mph, with no cars/trucks close to me, and as was looking to the left of car, heard a loud bang/pop, which startled me. Sounded like something landed on the forward roof, which nothing had. Car was running smooth, so knew I was not hit or ran over any road debris. I knew the noise came from the forward of the SUV, solooked around front of interior while trying to figure out what happened. Then I saw the windshield cracks sparkling in the sunlight.

When the outside temperatures got to about the 15 degree, it became apparent the defroster and heating system would not work until the vehicle was run on the road at highway speeds for several miles. I ran the engine at idle for over twenty minutes and there was absolutely no heat produced through the defroster. Consequently, the windshield and side windows could not be defrosted or cleared of ice. Vision was severely and unsafely limited. The local Honda dealership pronounced the car in good shape on the first visit but did duplicate the problem on a second visit. However, they could not give us a solution other than to run the car in a lower gear. Honda said to put a piece or cardboard in front of the radiator. No solution or fix was provided and the dealership could not do anything further until Honda acknowledged the problem and provided a solution so we are at a standoff. If the car can not be defrosted prior to moving, it is an unsafe car in my climate.

I purchased my new 2019 Honda CR-V in June, thinking I would be as safe, comfortable and satisfied as I was with my 2016 Honda CR-V for 3 years. However, I live in a rural area and am unable to drive after dark because the top half of my front windshield turns black whenever my headlights dim and I only have clear vision for a few yards N front of me. After 3 windshields, many hours of diagnostics, and my wasted time and frustration, my insurance agent, family, friends and I agree this is a serious manufacturing defect and I am stuck with a vehicle I can only drive safely in the daylight. A dealer employee told me the new led lights present this problem in most newly manufactured vehicles, but apparently I am the only owner who attempts to drive in a rural area at night. I am especially in danger now that we are in hunting season and deer are crossing the roads at all hours commencing at sunset.

Vehicle will not warm up to defrost windshield on cooler/cold mornings when running at idle., cold air blowing into cabin even after driving at highway speeds for 30 mins. After driving for 30 mins + engine will sometimes will be at normal operating temp. When coming to a light after this driving time engine temp gauge will drop to low.-temps inside car go to cold. This has been an ongoing situation since purchase new in Jan 2019, we live in Maine. Going to the dealer for this problem. Online investigations bring up this issue since 2017 with the CR-V with the 1.5L engines-will no defrost the winsheilds.
