CarComplaints.com Notes: It's rare when a newer vehicle has defect trends. Judging from the identical 2017 model year, the 2018 Honda CR-V is likely to have at least two — overfilled oil levels with a gas smell, & heat not working.
Both problems affecting the Honda CR-V's 1.5L "Earth Dreams" engine appear to be related to cold-climate regions.
CR-V owners also report no heat even after warming up their CR-Vs for 30 minutes — not even enough to defrost the windshield. So far, there has been no fix from Honda for this issue.
I have been having many electrical issues with my POS CR-V. It is 10 months old now and the problems are increasing.
Last night while driving my LANE DEVIATION light illuminated several times in approx 26 miles. Along with that, my steering wheel kept trying to turn slightly left and then right numerous times and at times cycled rapidly L-R which felt like a loose tire or worn out front end. At first I stopped and checked the wheels, etc. Then the LD light started coming on and I assumed it was related.
NOTE: I have turned off the LANE DEVIATION system along with all the other automatic systems as my trust and faith in this care is less than zero considering all the issues it has that Honda can't duplicate or acknowledge finding.
I bought this car as it was recommended by many but I wouldn't give a penny for another one. It will be sold ASAP. I need to feel safe in my vehicle. I sure miss the Caddy I traded for this POS.
