Instrument Panel Went Blank
2017 Honda CR-V
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: It's rare when a newer vehicle has defect trends, & the 2017 Honda CR-V has at least two — overfilled oil levels with a gas smell, & heat not working.
Both problems affecting the Honda CR-V's 1.5L "Earth Dreams" engine appear to be related to cold-climate regions.
CR-V owners report overfilled oil levels due to fuel in the oil, & sometimes a gas smell in the cabin. That problem appears to be related to fuel injection which Honda hopes to fix via a software update. Honda so far has only conducted a recall in China & a "product update" in Canada.
CR-V owners also report no heat even after warming up their CR-Vs for 30 minutes — not even enough to defrost the windshield. So far, there has been no fix from Honda for this issue.

I am about to return this car next month. Since I took it it from the dealership brand new I had no piece of mind. Less than 5,000 miles the back camera had a problem . I took it to the dealership I could not find the problem. Ask to leave the car and change the entire camera and did not have in stock! Recently all the lights in the dashboard comes out as a problem. It is dangerous to drive when the light comes in as the red light for the brake. I drive very slowly in case my brake fails. Called the dealership and nobody picks up the phone. After a year I had to change the battery since the car will not start. I had to call triple AAA to come to the rescue. Aside from this I used to own an Odyssey 2003 less than 10,000 I could not pass inspection. They had to replace the entire transmission.Thank God I had bought an extra insurance in case the car brakes. The dealership told me if you do not buy the insurance I will not let you to walk out. I had no choice but to buy because it was at night. They really used psychology to sell it.I am fed up with Honda.!! If they read this complain themselves they should be ashamed.
