CarComplaints.com Notes: It's rare when a newer vehicle has defect trends, & the 2017 Honda CR-V has at least two — overfilled oil levels with a gas smell, & heat not working.
Both problems affecting the Honda CR-V's 1.5L "Earth Dreams" engine appear to be related to cold-climate regions.
CR-V owners also report no heat even after warming up their CR-Vs for 30 minutes — not even enough to defrost the windshield. So far, there has been no fix from Honda for this issue.
COLD CLIMATE BUYER BEWARE (unless you LOVE being COLD!!! ) My 2017 CR-V has a lack of heat and the cabin remains cool during the winter. My commute is 10 min and the cabin remains cold on most winter days. Warming the engine is a waste of time as idle it remains cold. At stop lights no matter how long I have been out driving the temp gauge drops to cold and heat will cool. I reported the problem to Honda in November 2017 however they said there was nothing they could do about it, its the new efficient engines and they are aware. I have been driving for over 30+ years in Maine and this is the first vehicle that I have had a lack of heat.
My car was recalled because of a oil dilution problem. I had the "fix" involving new software for fuel injection and a new climate control unit. The car is still very slow to warm up to normal and cools very fast in idle. Something is still very wrong with the engine heating system: the fix did not fix.

AC does not work. I took the car to dealer, waiting for parts 3-4 weeks and it's 90 degrees outside.
