leak through the sunroof leak through the sunroof

This is my second trip to the dealer for the same complaint. Sunroof leaked after a rainstorm and there were water stains on the sunroof sunshade and on the headliner above the rear passenger side door. The dealer cleaned the stain on the headliner and replaced the fabric on the sunshade. They gave no explanation for the water stains.

leak through the sunroof

This is the third time bringing the vehicle back to the dealer for water stains. This time the stains appear on the sunroof sunshade, above the rear passenger door, and above the passenger visor. Car is still with dealer and have not heard back from them regarding an explanation or resolution.

leak through the sunroof

This is the first of a total of 3 separate incidents of sunroof leakage in my 2016 Honda CR-V. Water stains appeared on my headliner and sunshade only 6 months after I purchased the vehicle..On the first visit to the service dept regarding this issue, I was told that the drains were clogged (hard to believe since it was 6 months old). They cleaned the drains, changed the headliner, and cleaned the sunshade.

We have owned 2 Honda's in past 16 years and never had any issues with them. So when we were out looking for a new car, we did not think about any other brand and decided to buy Honda CRV Touring 2016 model. 1 month in to buying this car we started seeing multiple water leakage marks on the roof of the car from inside. We took the car to the dealership and their service department found that this was caused because the drainage of the sunroof had a defect and hence did not drain the water properly.

The dealer fixed this issue, by replacing the sunroof, sunshades, headliner, sliding frame and other parts that came in contact with the water.

So, while the car is brand new some of its parts are replaced with no fault of ours. This was the last thing we expected from a Honda car and are very disappointed that we ended up buying a defective piece. We feel that Honda should replace the car as it is clearly a manufacturer's defect.
