The contact owns a 2016 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that the front windshield wipers suddenly became inoperable while it was raining. The failure occurred intermittently. The contact stated while the wipers were being used to spray and wipe the windshield, or while defrosting the windshield the failure would not occur. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000.

Was fine yesterday. Went out this morning and went to back up and realized I couldn-??t see out the rear window. Looked and the entire window is shattered. Cracks on bottom and sides. Nobody touched the car overnight in my yard. Have to pay $250 to Safelite this Saturday.

I was driving in the rain on city streets with the wipers at one of the intermittent setting. Without warning, the wipers disengaged in the resting position - stopped working. I tried repeatedly to restart the wipers, turning them off/on, changing the intermittent settings, changing from intermittent to full speed, different speeds, etc. I even tried using the wiper fluid to see if that would engage the wipers again - nothing worked. I tried repeatedly over a 15 minute period with no results. Then I turned off the car, restarted it, and the wipers began working properly again. (even though the vehicle is under full a warranty, no dealership nor american Honda will authorize repair because they've been 'unable to replicate the malfunction'; in other words, when I take it it, the wipers are working again and they can't/won't authorize more diagnostic work to identify the source of the problem. The case # with american Honda is #09402884)

Vehicle parked on Wednesday afternoon with no problems with the rear window, in my driveway.... far off the street. My vehicle was not driven or touched since it was parked. Friday morning went out to my vehicle and rear window was shattered. I was on edmunds and apparently this seems to be a Honda issue !!!!! I have pictures of the rear window. I called Honda and was told my warranty does not cover it and they have no recall for it..... to call my insurance company! my insurance doesn't cover it because the window is less than my $500 deductible! now I will have to pay out of my own pocket for something that should clearly be covered by Honda!!!!

Honda dealer and manufacturer claimed that the wiper of the 2016 Honda CRV stops 1.5 inch from the edge of the windshield glass. When you are driving, it seems to be a lot of blind spot.

We were driving on highway 5 North around roseburg or at about 65 mph and suddenly the sunroof glass exploded outward. It was a sudden and load explotion and was very very very frightening. We are attaching a picture of the damage. Note, we feel fairly confident nothing from the outside caused this and believe this has been caused by a defect in the vehicle. We highly encourage the appropriate authorities to investigate this further as we believe this is a very dangerous issue. Feel free to contact us as we do have several more pictures. Note, we're taking the vehicle into the Honda dealership in portland or to have the glass repaired. Also note, we informed our insurance company of the incident and they stated they have seen this same issue many times before.

While driving on an interstate traveling 70 mph the backseat passenger side window (which was closed completely) shattered and imploded into the entire backseat and floor of vehicle. Driving straight, 70 mph on interstate with cruise control on, no object collision. Vehicle is approx. 6 months old (purchased new) with just under 10K miles on it. Vehicle only serviced by Honda dealership and otherwise in mint condition. Affected window was undamaged prior to the event; no cracks, star markings, or chips noted on window prior to event. Back of car filled with shattered glass and tiny shards of glass. Fortunately nobody was in the backseat at the time.

Chipped and/or cracked Honda windshield seems to be a problem. This is our 3rd Honda CR-V (2010, 2013, and 2016) and with each vehicle, the windshield would chip easily from a stone or pebble on the highway; try to repair but the chip/crack would spread; and so, each time the windshield had to be replaced. Safelite tried to repair it on our current CR-V since our insurance company recommended them but the crack spread. We normally go to norman's (burlington NJ) as they do a great job. They replaced it with a ppg oem at about $300 total, which is far less than you wanted to charge. My complaint is why do Honda windshields crack so easily" we've had other brands such as Jeep and GM/Chevrolet and they don't seem to get chips or cracks when a stone hits the windshield. Are we unlucky with Honda or are their windshields weak" the replacement ppg oems seem to be stronger as well.
