Called my Honda dealer and was told this was not covered by my warranty or a Honda issue. Very surprised because there are numerous reports all over the internet about "exploding sunroofs". I really thought better of you Honda. Do you not care about the safety of the people who drive your cars? This sunroof issue is shocking and you really do need to fix it, and pay for the repairs!
Summary -- I was driving on the highway in Virginia and then all of a sudden I heard a crackling of glass. I looked up and saw a hole about 8" round in my sunroof. There was glass all over the front passenger seat and the front console. I immediately pulled over, flagged down a nearby police car (thank you God they were nearby) and was able to get assistance. Initially I thought something had hit my car but on closer examination I realized that the glass exploded outward not inward. If something had hit my car from above, the glass would have been pointing inward. Thank goodness no one in the car was hurt! Shame on you Honda.
